Brandon R. Bowman believes in the vigor and energy of subtle momentary changes of nature and light.
The kind that stir the emotions of the subliminal mind. His work conveys a sense of innocence and
peacefulness, with vibrant colors. Moderately detailed depictions of tracts of land, urban and suburban
landscapes, focused on the light and shadow created by the setting or rising sun. Many of which begin as
plein air studies and develop into impressionistic renditions of real life momentary contemplations of fantastic colors.
The colors tend to conflict unnaturally with the reality of the subject matter. In the attempt to become more attuned
to the subtle changes in atmospheric perspective, Bowman strives for a realistic interpretation
of what he refers to as "The Glimpse" the moment in which color and light, become surreal.
"If you drive down a road, observe nature around you. Look at the colors you might see, are they memorable?
How would you describe them?"
